Nearly 300 people have died from a cholera outbreak that is threatening the citizens of Haiti. Over 3,000 cases of the disease have been reported and health officials warn that unless appropriate measures are taken, cholera could become endemic in Haiti, much like malaria and tuberculosis. The projects below already have health and relief workers on the ground actively working to prevent the spread of cholera and to treat those who have contracted it.
